Melting
Our iron foundry is equipped with 2 induction melting
furnaces, and one holding furnace. These furnaces have
available capacity to produce additional requirements.
Melting Furnaces
1 x 3.0 tonne per hour BBC Induction furnace with ladle
transfer to holding furnace. 1 x 2.0 tonne per hour
1250kW Inductotherm induction furnace with ladle transfer
by forklift to holding furnace.
2 tonne melting furnace (Secondary)
Holding Furnace
1 x 20 tonne 1000 kW Inductotherm coreless
holding furnace.
S.G. (Nodular) iron is produced in a tundish ladle, charged
from the holding furnace as required.
Our metallurgical and metallography laboratories ensure
customer's metal specifications are met and controlled.
Motorized 750kg and 1000kg pouring ladles dispense metal
to the pouring station at the moulding line.
